Tempesst are twin brothers Toma (vocals) & Andy (drums) Banjanin, Eric Weber (guitars), Blake Misipeka (bass) and Kane Reynolds (keyboards). You feel everything from 60's Brit pop, the 80's romance wave of artists like Bryan Ferry and ABC, a slight coating of 70's pop (think Gilbert O'Sullivan) and 70's glam, especially during the lead break, (think Bowie and T-Rex) AND somehow it all feels beautiful juggling psychedelic charm and melancholia all the while. While Toma waxes poetic with an artistic flair that feels as inward as it does theatrical, orchestral sounds sweep around a lovely bass and drum waltz. The song is about love in the digital age but the boys beautifully, playfully go back (and maybe sideways) coalescing a sound that pulls from many times and genres. I will give strong consideration to a Sadowsky Satin series Modern or PJ and a Dingwall 3x. I will be very picky as I am not really looking to pick up another bass that I will probably have to sell. I would need to see at least $2000 in a trade so looking at basses in the $2500-3000 range. I will consider trades plus a considerable amount of cash. I have owned several MTD 535's and this is the nicest one I have owned. I also bought a Dingwall Z series right after so I have to sell something. I actually think it was purchased in 2020 but not 100% sure.
I recently bought this off a collector who bought it new from Bass San Diego last year. Selling my absolutely mint condition MTD 535-24.
